I am a concerned citizen. Born and raised in rural America.

I am afraid that people in our country are on a path to lose:

• Our freedom to speak what we feel to be the truth
• Our rights to be treated fairly according to laws
• Our freedom to express ourselves in ways that harm no others, but may offend a few

I am afraid that our tax dollars will be used to:

• To give perks to people holding government positions instead of helping poor, hard-working Americans
• Give more tax breaks to the wealthiest people and eliminate programs to help the poorest Americans
• Support some specific religious doctrines and discriminate against others
• Pay bribes to compensate elected officials and foreign countries and businesses to provide perks to people in government

I am afraid that our country will be weakened due to:

• Elimination of investment in scientific approaches to progress
• Elimination of investment in our colleges that have long made the U.S. the premier destination for education
• Lack of contribution to the smaller economies around the world that will no longer be connected to us because they receive no funding from us and have no reason to prefer us over China and other governments
• Lack of trust from other countries and individuals around the world as we abandoned transactional agreements and negotiate deals using bribes to corrupt government officials and fail to maintain previous agreements
